The game of the goose: roll the die, fly from goose to goose, dodge the well and the tomb, and be the first to the castle on square 63. These are the rules exactly as Dineri plays them.
The game
Two to six players, or bots, which simply roll. One die.
Everyone starts on square 1. Everyone rolls once; the highest starts (a tie for the highest rolls again, among the tied). Then turns go round the table.
The first to reach square 63, the castle, wins.
Moving
Roll and move your goose forward that many squares.
Land on a goose (5, 9, 14, 18, 23, 27, 32, 36, 41, 45, 50, 54, 59) and move forward the same number again, and again if you land on another goose.
You must land on 63 exactly: with too many points, you reach 63 and walk back the rest. Landing on a goose on the way back, you go back the die's number again.
Land where another goose stands (squares 1 to 62) and they go to the square you came from. The square's rule doesn't apply to the one sent back.
The special squares
3: jump to the square just in front of the nearest player ahead of you, if there is one.
6, the bridge: go to 12.
15: back to 10.
19, the inn: miss your next turn.
26, the dice: if the roll that brought you straight here was a 6 or a 3, roll again (not after a goose's second jump).
31, the well: stay until you roll a 6, then move 6 squares, to 37. Landing in the well where someone already is: you both stay. Leaving the well and landing on someone sends them into the well.
39, the stairs: back 6 squares, to 33.
42, the maze: back to 30.
52, the prison: miss your next 2 turns.
58, the tomb: back to the start, square 1.
Swapped out of the inn or the prison by someone landing there: the newcomer inherits the turns to miss, and you're free.
